MTI  to resume issuing licences for foreign used car importation

PORT OF SPAIN, February 2008 (MTI):  The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) Trade Licence Unit will resume issuing licenses for the importation of foreign used cars to the 352 registered dealers on Thursday 14th February, 2008.

PORT-OF-SPAIN, January 2008 (MTI):  As part of its mandate to monitor the local foreign used car industry, the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) is currently reviewing the quota system approved by Cabinet and established last year, for importation of foreign used cars by registered dealers.
