The Research and Development Facility (RDF) is targeted to those business enterprises, which need to acquire specialised technology or introduce ideas into the business in order to improve competitiveness and profitability.
Business enterprises in the non-energy manufacturing and services sector, whom wish to pursue research and development (R&D) projects as an integral component of their strategic and/or business plan.
Areas of R&D that will be eligible for funding include:
Adaptation of systems and technology
Innovations in technology management systems and industrial engineering, e.g. product processes, logistics, supply chain, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), etc.
In order to be eligible to access the Research and Development Facility, applicants should meet the following:
Business must be in existence for a minimum period of two (2) years
Investment in non-property assets (machinery and equipment, working capital) $50,00 - $5 million
Business must be locally owned and operated
Applicants must show evidence of ability to contribute a share of the cost of the project at least 33 1/3 %
