How to Apply for an Import Licence
Application forms are available online or can be collected at:-
Ministry of Trade and Industry,
Trade Licence Unit
Ground Floor, TTMA Building
#42 Tenth Avenue, Barataria,
Trinidad, West Indies
Application Forms require the following information:
1.Name and Address of Importer
2.Name and Address of Supplier
3.Detailed description and cost of items
4.Country of origin/shipment
5.End use of items imported
6.Signature Applicant must produce some form of Identification:
(a) Imports for personal use - T&T Passport, D.P., I.D.
(b) Imports for trade – Original Board of Inland Revenue Advice of Assignment of File Number
A stamped copy of the application form will be returned to the applicant to be presented for collection of the prepared licence. Import Licences will be ready for collection within seven (7) working days of lodging applications.
