Sectors targeted for economic development
Pursuant to the Government of Trinidad and Tobago's ongoing economic diversification thrust several industries have been targeted for development and expansion. More Information >>

Process Mapping
The Business Development Directorate is utilizing Process Mapping in the export promotion of locally manufactured products. The necessary research will provide a complete break down of all the necessary steps required for a local manufacturer’s product to best penetrate new and foreign markets. This research is specific to non-energy sector products, which is in keeping with the Ministry’s mandate to diversify the economy away from energy based industries.

Developing an Export Promotion Strategy
A strategy is being developed that will outline the activities required to encourage increased exports and stimulate regional and international demand for the country’s products and services. Trade Facilitation Office Cuba If you are interested in exploring business and trade opportunities in Cuba you should contact the TIDCO Trade Facilitation Office (TFO), an initiative of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago designed to promote and increase trade and investment between this country and Cuba. Strengthening Alliances/Stakeholder Relationships
The Alliances Unit is responsible for deepening collaboration with stakeholders in the area of trade, business and investment. This is in keeping with the Ministry’s mandate to grow business, develop trade and promote investment.
